Headline: Cadet graduation returns to Falcon Stadium for Class of 2021

Headline: New active component added to Air National Guard KC-135 at Eielson AFB
The department plans to add four additional KC-135s and up to 220 additional active duty personnel making it a total force unit and increasing the squadron’s total KC-135 aircraft to 12. The personnel will be reassigned from within the Air Force.

In Norse mythology, Valkyries are female figures who choose those that will live or die in battle. RAF Lakenheath is in the east of the United Kingdom, an area with extensive Viking and Norse history. Additionally, the 495th FS motto, “Mala Ipsa Nova,” in Latin, means “Bad News Itself.” Both factors emphasize “Valkyries” as an extremely suitable nickname for the UK-based unit.
