Headline: West Tennessee Woman Sentenced to 16 Months for Stolen Valor

Memphis, TN – Amanda Kate Walker Bass, 36, was sentenced to 16 months in prison for executing a scheme to defraud, whereby she claimed to be a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran. United States Attorney D. Michael Dunavant, of the Western District of Tennessee, announced the sentence today. According to information provided in court, Bass claimed to be a multiple-time deployed U.S. Marine Corps veteran who was the lone survivor of an enemy ambush in Afghanistan in 2010 that left her seriously wounded. Headline: Tallahassee Man Faces 25 Years in Prison After Conviction for Federal Drug-Trafficking and Possession of Firearms

 Tallahassee, Florida – Christopher L. Daniels, 47, of Tallahassee, Florida, was found guilty yesterday by a federal jury of possession with intent to distribute various controlled substances including more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Headline: Texas Man Sentenced for Misprision of a Felony

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – ELDER CAMACHO (“CAMACHO”), age 36, a resident of Texas, was sentenced on July 29, 2026, after previously pleading guilty to one count in a Superseding Bill of Information charging him with misprision of a felony, announced U.S. Attorney David I. Courcelle.

Headline: Bellevue man sentenced to 18 months in prison for operating multi-million dollar fencing operation that encouraged retail theft

Seattle – A 59-year-old Bellevue, Washington and Las Vegas, man was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Seattle to 18 months in prison for his role in a scheme to sell stolen goods on Amazon and eBay, announced First Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles Neil Floyd.

Headline: Former Federal Law Enforcement Officer Agrees to Plead Guilty

BOSTON – A former U.S. Postal Inspector – a federal law enforcement officer authorized to carry a firearm, make arrests and execute search warrants – has agreed to plead guilty to allegedly stealing over $330,000 in cash from packages mailed by elderly victims and then laundering the cash and failing to report it to the Internal Revenue Service. The defendant allegedly used the stolen cash to pay for a pool patio, granite countertop for his outdoor bar, lighting for his pool and bar, Caribbean cruise expenses, and escorts.

Headline: $3.85 Million Settlement Of Case Against Labor Unions For Improper Receipt Of Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) Loans

United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jay Clayton, announced today that International Union of Journeymen and Allied Trades (“IUJAT”), United Service Workers Union, IUJAT National Union (“USWU”), Home Healthcare Workers of America, IUJAT (“HHWA”), Service Professionals Union Local 726 IUJAT (“LOCAL 726”), and United Welfare Fund – Welfare Division (“UWF”) (collectively, the “Defendants”) agreed to pay $3,850,000 to resolve allegations that they violated the False Claims Act by falsely certifying that they were eligible for Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) loans.

Headline: Former Kauai Resident Indicted for Trafficking Fentanyl

HONOLULU – United States Attorney Ken Sorenson announced that Dakota Ianniello, 55, formerly of Hanapepe, Kauai, was indicted on July 23, 2026, after being arrested in the Western District of Wisconsin on July 21, 2026, for possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl.

Headline: Homeland Security Task Force investigation leads to charges against six defendants for their roles in an Elmira drug trafficking ring

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced today that Eric J. Barner a/k/a E a/k/a Dree, 40, Ashanique Graham a/k/a Shorty, 30, Geneno Mable, 51, Matthew R. Swinko, 28, and Ryan Palmieri, 36, all of Elmira, NY, were charged by criminal complaint with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, 40 grams or more of fentanyl, and a quantity of cocaine. Charged in a separate complaint with conspiracy was Dominic Murphy, 31, also of Elmira. The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum penalty of life, and $10,000,000. Murphy is also charged with being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Headline: Greenfield Man Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Child Exploitation Offense

Jackson, TN – James Anthony Morris, 59, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for production of child pornography.  United States Attorney D. Michael Dunavant, of the Western District of Tennessee, announced the sentence today.The investigation in this case revealed that Morris set up a “spy camera” in one of his bedrooms at his residence in Greenfield, Tennessee and secretly recorded multiple minors in the nude and changing clothes.  Morris then distributed some of the child pornographic material that
