The Department of Homeland Security will host a first-of-its-kind American Industrial Renewal (AIR) summit with key industry and government stakeholders on April 23, 2026, at the United States Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

This event will promote America’s national and economic interests in key commercial and defense sectors. In targeted working groups, business and government leaders will identify barriers to reindustrialization and policy solutions to those barriers. The AIR summit will support the ambitious strides DHS is taking to restore America’s industrial base and protect the United States from undue foreign influence. Too many American supply chains rely on adversaries, and this summit will help turn the tide.

AIR will cover many of DHS’s core policy initiatives through the lens of reshoring critical manufacturing sectors, providing broad industry awareness into ongoing initiatives to help American businesses build domestically. The event will provide a platform for executives from manufacturing, technology, and finance to share reshoring experience and develop actionable policy solutions. By leveraging automation and advanced manufacturing to create skilled American jobs, the United States will secure domestic production, capturing its value for American citizens while building the resilience of U.S. infrastructure.

Event Highlights

  • Opening remarks from the Secretary
  • Networking lunch
  • Targeted breakout groups
  • Concluding remarks from DHS Policy Leadership
